Belantti Gift Card Terms

These Gift Card Terms apply to digital gift cards purchased directly through www.belantti.co.uk.

They should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions, Refund Policy, Returns & Exchanges Policy and Privacy Policy.

Nothing in these terms removes or restricts any statutory consumer rights that apply.

2. What a Belantti gift card is

A Belantti gift card is a digital code with a monetary balance that can be used towards eligible purchases made through the Belantti online store.

Gift cards:

  • are delivered electronically rather than as a physical card;
  • are not credit cards, debit cards or bank accounts;
  • do not earn interest;
  • cannot normally be exchanged for cash;
  • are subject to product, regional and checkout availability.

These terms apply to purchased Belantti gift cards. Promotional vouchers, discount codes, rewards and store credit may have separate conditions.

3. Buying a gift card

Available gift-card values are shown on the relevant product page before purchase.

Current denominations may include £10, £25, £50 and £100, but available values may change.

You must provide an accurate email address when purchasing or sending a digital gift card.

Belantti is not responsible for delay or non-receipt caused by an incorrect email address supplied by the purchaser. Contact us promptly if an error is discovered.

An order confirmation does not necessarily mean that the gift-card order has been accepted. Belantti may carry out payment, security or fraud-prevention checks before issuing the code.

4. Electronic delivery

Gift cards are normally delivered by email shortly after the order and payment have been approved.

Email delivery may be delayed by:

  • payment or fraud-prevention checks;
  • incorrect recipient information;
  • email filtering or spam controls;
  • email-provider delays;
  • technical or platform disruption.

If a gift-card email has not arrived, check the junk or spam folder before contacting Belantti.

A gift card is considered delivered when it is sent to the email address provided during purchase, subject to any evidence that the email failed to send.

5. Sending a gift card to another person

A purchaser may send the gift card directly to an intended recipient where Shopify provides this option, or receive the code and forward it personally.

The purchaser is responsible for checking the recipient’s email address and sharing the code securely.

The recipient does not need to be the original purchaser to redeem the gift card.

Cancellation or refund requests concerning the original gift-card purchase should normally be made by the purchaser using the email address and order details used for the purchase.

6. Redeeming a gift card

Enter the gift-card code in the appropriate gift card or payment field during checkout.

A Belantti gift card may be used towards:

  • eligible Belantti products;
  • eligible third-party-brand products;
  • eligible partner-fulfilled products;
  • delivery charges where Shopify checkout permits.

Product eligibility remains subject to stock, regional availability, supplier restrictions, delivery restrictions, compliance requirements and checkout configuration.

A gift card cannot be used to override a product or delivery restriction.

7. Remaining balances

If the complete balance is not used in one transaction, the remaining amount stays available on the same gift-card code.

The same code may be used on later eligible orders until the balance reaches zero.

If the order value is higher than the available balance, the remaining amount must be paid using another payment method accepted at checkout.

If Shopify checkout permits more than one gift card to be used, multiple valid gift-card codes may be applied to the same order.

8. Checking a balance

The available balance may be shown through the gift-card email, an available Shopify balance page or during checkout.

For balance assistance, contact support@belantti.co.uk with the original order information.

For security, do not include the complete gift-card code in an unprotected public message, review or social-media post.

9. Expiry

Purchased Belantti digital gift cards do not currently expire.

Belantti will not introduce a retrospective expiry date to a purchased gift card that was expressly sold as having no expiry date.

If technical or platform changes require an existing gift card to be replaced, Belantti may issue a replacement code carrying the remaining valid balance.

Promotional credit, complimentary vouchers, rewards or compensation codes may have an expiry date where this was clearly disclosed when issued.

10. Gift cards and discount codes

A gift card is generally treated as a payment method rather than a discount.

It may be used alongside an eligible discount or promotional code where the promotion and Shopify checkout allow this.

Discount codes remain subject to their own:

  • minimum spend;
  • expiry date;
  • product or brand exclusions;
  • customer eligibility;
  • combination restrictions.

Gift-card value cannot be counted as product value where a promotion specifically requires payment for qualifying goods.

11. Buying another gift card

Belantti gift cards cannot be used to purchase another gift card.

An attempted gift-card purchase using another gift card may be refused or cancelled.

12. Cancellation of a purchased gift card

UK consumers purchasing a gift card online may have a statutory right to cancel the purchase within 14 days, depending on the circumstances.

To request cancellation, contact returns@belantti.co.uk with the order number and purchaser email address.

Where the gift card remains completely unused and a valid cancellation right applies, any approved refund will normally be returned to the original payment method.

If the gift card has already been redeemed in full or in part:

  • the value already used will not normally be refunded through cancellation of the gift card itself;
  • any unused balance will be assessed according to the circumstances and applicable law;
  • the customer’s rights concerning products purchased with the gift card remain unaffected.

Electronic delivery of the gift-card code does not by itself remove any statutory cancellation right.

13. Refunds for products purchased using a gift card

Products purchased using a gift card remain subject to Belantti’s Returns & Exchanges Policy and statutory consumer rights.

Where an approved refund relates to a product paid for using a gift card, the refund will normally be returned to the gift-card balance.

If an order was paid partly by gift card and partly through another payment method, the refund may be divided between those payment methods according to how the order was originally paid.

Refunding a product does not convert gift-card value into cash.

14. Lost, deleted or stolen codes

Gift-card codes should be treated securely because anyone who obtains a valid code may be able to use its balance.

If the original email has been deleted or lost, Belantti may be able to resend the gift card after verifying:

  • the original order number;
  • the purchaser’s email address;
  • payment or account information;
  • other reasonable security information.

Belantti cannot guarantee replacement of value already redeemed by an unauthorised person where the code was disclosed, forwarded or stored insecurely by the purchaser or recipient.

This does not exclude responsibility where loss resulted from Belantti’s failure to use reasonable care or another matter for which Belantti is legally responsible.

15. Fraud, misuse and unauthorised resale

Gift cards must not be:

  • obtained or used fraudulently;
  • purchased using stolen payment information;
  • duplicated, altered or counterfeited;
  • used to facilitate unlawful activity;
  • resold commercially without Belantti’s permission;
  • used to abuse promotions, rewards or refund processes.

Belantti may temporarily suspend, refuse or cancel a gift card where there are reasonable grounds to suspect fraud, unauthorised activity or misuse.

We may request verification before restoring or releasing a suspended balance.

We will not cancel a valid purchased balance without a reasonable basis or use this section to remove statutory consumer rights.

16. Regional and currency use

Belantti gift cards are issued in the store currency shown at purchase, normally GBP (£).

Where Shopify supports another market or currency, the value displayed or applied at checkout may be converted using Shopify’s applicable currency settings or exchange rate.

Currency conversion may mean that the displayed converted value changes over time even though the underlying GBP gift-card balance has not changed.

Customers outside the United Kingdom may use a gift card only for products and delivery destinations available in their Shopify market.

Selected products may currently be available for United States delivery, but a gift card does not guarantee that every Belantti or third-party product can be delivered to the United States.

17. Third-party brands and partner-fulfilled products

Belantti is a multi-brand retailer and sells products from its own brands and third-party beauty and grooming brands.

Gift cards may be used towards eligible third-party-brand products unless a restriction is displayed or applied at checkout.

Some products may be held or dispatched by approved suppliers or fulfilment partners, including through Shopify Collective.

Where the order is placed through www.belantti.co.uk:

  • Belantti remains the customer-facing retailer;
  • the gift-card payment is processed through Belantti’s checkout;
  • returns and refunds should be requested through Belantti;
  • partner fulfilment does not reduce statutory consumer rights.

18. Marketplace purchases

Belantti gift cards are intended for use on www.belantti.co.uk.

They cannot normally be redeemed through eBay, TikTok Shop or another third-party marketplace because those platforms operate separate payment systems.

A Belantti gift card does not constitute credit for use on a marketplace account.

19. Technical availability

Gift-card redemption depends on the availability of Belantti’s website, Shopify checkout and relevant payment systems.

Temporary maintenance, security checks or technical disruption may delay redemption.

If a valid gift card cannot be used because of a technical problem, contact Belantti so that the balance and checkout issue can be investigated.

20. Privacy

Personal information relating to the purchaser, recipient, delivery and redemption of a gift card is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may use purchase, redemption and device information for:

  • delivery of the gift card;
  • customer support;
  • balance administration;
  • fraud prevention;
  • accounting and legal compliance.

21. Changes to these terms

We may update these Gift Card Terms to reflect changes in law, Shopify functionality, store operations or gift-card services.

The terms in force when a gift card was purchased will normally continue to apply to that purchase.

We will not retrospectively remove an existing valid balance or introduce an undisclosed expiry date to the customer’s disadvantage.
